The Wenceslas Square is not only shopping place, but historical sight as well.It lies within the district New Town€, which is a little confusing.It was founded in 1348 by Charles the 4th, who called it this way because at this time, only Old Town€ existed. Wenceslas Square is named after St. Wenceslas, the saint patron of Czechia.The square has an image of a boulevard, or long street.

This square is one of the most ancient parts of the city, located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles bridge.Various architectural styles can be found there, including the gothic Tyn Cathedral, baroque St.Nicholas Church or a sculpture of Jan Hus, a religious reformer, in the middle.Above all of it, the most famous attraction on The Old Town Square is The Astronomical Clock (Orloj).

The Troja Castle (U Trojskeho zamku 1, Prague 7 - Troja) is located in Prague quarter Troja opposite to the ZOO main entrance. The garden belonging to the castle reaches almost to Vltava River.

National Theatre

Renaissance building on the bank of the Vltava, with its golden crown of chariot-driving women, is Pragues National Theatre.

This famous castle dominates the whole city because of its situation on a hill next to Petri­n ,that´s why getting there from Mala Strana (Lower part) can be quite exhausting. Keep in mind that you take the Old castle´s staircase and a nice view will be a reward. Otherwise, it is the place where the head of Czech countries has had office since ever.Now, we speak about the president, before, Czech kings or Holy Roman emperors.The crown jewels of the Bohemian Kingdom are kept there.Unfortunately, they are possible to be seen just once a couple of years.
